We are looking for an Asia-Pacific OEM Sales Engineer for the Tier1 OEM and Volume PC manufacturer/ODM channel.
This is an Expansion position that has become available because of our long term success. You will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process; from managing the existing customer base, to expanding our market presence by aggressively calling on targeted OEM / ODM customers. Your prior knowledge of, and interface with, these known Tier 1 Customers will be of extreme importance to your immediate success at SoftThinks.
You will work directly with all aspects of the company to develop and execute an effective selling strategy for each new business opportunity. You will also manage existing customers and maintain customer satisfaction at the highest level. Based on your close contact with the OEM channel, you will report trends observed in managing customers and provide input into the development process such that customer requests and needs are represented within the product. You will report directly to the Executive Vice President for SoftThinks USA Inc.
• To successfully generate substantial revenue, you will need a solid technical background, a high degree of autonomy, active listening skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• An accomplished command of the English Language is mandatory. Of equal importance will be an accomplished presence, confidence and enthusiasm for your job and the work that you do.
• A minimum of 5 years of solution sales experience with a proven track record of above quota performance in the computer industry is required for this position. The ideal candidate will also possess strong negotiation skills and experience with the OEM channel or PC manufacturing in general. You must also be very comfortable with Outlook and MS Office; specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Flexibility, a willingness to travel, comfort in new situations, a willingness to learn, and strong analytical skills are crucial. Travel is expected at least 10% of the time. Strong work ethic will be key for your success.
The compensation package is success-based and reflective of a mid-level manager position. You will be compensated with a base salary plus commissions based on revenue, as well as, excellent health insurance benefits and the security of a well-funded company to support you.
We work hard, have fun and maintain the highest level of honesty and integrity in our relationships with our customers and team members. The candidate must reside in Taipei and be able to travel freely in China. The territory responsibility will be Asia-Pacific with most customers / prospects being located in Taiwan.
