RSPO is a not-for-profit association that unites stakeholders from seven sectors of the palm oil industry – oil palm producers, processors, manufacturers, retailers, investors, environmental & social NGOs – to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil. RSPO is looking for the following highly motivated mind-sets to meet the challenges of a young but rapidly growing international organisation
GHG Liaison Coordinator
- Coordinate & liaise with Working Group 2 on Green House Gases (GHG WG2).
- Assist the Communications Officer on the Low Carbon Palm Oil Production Program. Liaise with the relevant authorities on matter pertaining to RSPO.
- Assist on workshops & outreach program related to GHG and Low Carbon Palm Oil Production Program.
Requirements
Advanced degree in Environmental, Forestry or Agricultural Sciences, with at least 10 years experience in the oil palm industry or sustainability programs in the corporate sector. Applicant will be required to reside in Jakarta, Indonesia and travel extensively throughout the region, with occasional inter-continental trips. Good writing and oral communication skills in English and Bahasa and competence in technical issues relating to GHG emissions and LCA.
