Justice Sector and Legal Education – Positions Available

The Asia Foundation, an international non-governmental organization, is seeking applicants for long-term, senior level technical and management positions for upcoming justice sector and legal education project based in Jakarta.

  • Chief of Party: Responsible for leading a technical assistance to strengthen the capacity of Indonesian law schools to prepare their graduates to pursue careers in public service, while increasing collaboration between law schools, CSOs and justice sector institutions. Minimum 10 years of experience leading and directing donor-funded Justice Sector or Legal Education programs in Indonesia or similar environments. Prior experience managing USAID projects preferred. Advance degree in law or related field, fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia preferred.
  • Legal Education Expert: Responsible for coordinating technical assistance to law schools, and creating partnerships between law schools, CSOs and justice sector players. Minimum 10 years of experience as it law school administrator or professor/lecturer or as a judicial trainer, with experience in curricula design. prior experience working on donor-t unded programs, preferred. Fluency in English and Indonesian is required.
  • Clinical Legal Education Expert: Responsible for leading technical assistance that develops law school clinical courses and case studies and managing internship programs for law school students, at justice institution and CSOs. Minimum 7 years of experience developing law school curricula, clinical education progras and internship programs for law students. Prior experience working on donor-funded programs preferred. Fluency in English and Indonesian is required.
  • Civil Societe Organizations Expert: Responsible for coordinating technical assistance to CSOs working on justice sector reform. Minimum 8 years ofexperience as a senior advisor or manager of a CSO working on justice sector reform. Prior experience working on donor-funded programs preferred. Fluency in English and Indonesian is required.
