As the title suggests, this is a role ideal for a high performance oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a professional ‘can do’ attitude vital to the success of a growing business.  The ideal incumbent will be accountable for overseeing and providing advice of the financial stream for several business units: Markets; Relationship Banking; Trade Finance; Retail Banking; Credit Card Business. As Country CFO your responsibilities involve, driving financial performance management through the provision of financial information, analysis and advice to each business and to other key stakeholders. You will support the BU Heads in the delivery of agreed operating plans, forecast and Group reporting and analysis, while optimizing economic risk capital management and developing mitigation strategies for high risk areas to improve capital management.

This apart, you will manage financial governance and operations of the finance function, including the co-ordination of daily and monthly reporting, the preparation of information and analysis of actual performance together with the preparation and analysis of meaningful forecasts and operating plans and financial evaluation of business project and initiatives. Additionally, you will take on the onus of EVA capital management and MIS ensuring compliance with all external and Group reporting and regulatory requirements, and continuous process improvement. Stepping into the shoes of a coach and mentor, you ‘lead by example’ encouraging behavior essential to delivery of business objectives and providing ideas for improvement, thereby ensuring delivery at a high level of professional standards.

Qualifications
To excel in this role you must have at least 10 years experience in the finance sector in a senior financial advisory role and prior experience in performance management of a large business/ business, with an in-depth understanding of financial reporting requirements including budgeting, monthly reporting, etc. Effective financial reporting, designing/redesigning management information systems and reporting capabilities coupled with strong relationship building and organizational skills, make you the apt candidate for this crucial role. Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Economics and CPA/ICA certification will be well regarded.
