BBC Indonesia is part of the BBC World Service, an international multimedia news organization which provides news and current affairs output to a global audience. From its offices in London and Jakarta, BBC Indonesia serves its audience in Indonesian language on radio, on the Internet and on mobile phone.
We are looking for a Bureau Editor to lead a team of experienced journalists in the bureau’s multimedia news operations. You’d be a key player in devising strategy for BBC Indonesia: supervising the newsgathering team in Jakarta and working closely with the London team to ensure the excellent editorial standards of the BBC output. You must have experience in leading or managing a team of journalists. Having excellent Indonesian and English language skills, written and spoken is essential. You must have first-class editorial judgment and thorough knowledge of Indonesia, the world and regional affairs as well as being confident in working in a multimedia environment.
