Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
* To take part in, or, lead project scoping, system implementation and system support
* Develop, customize, QA and maintain OpenWay software applications based on project and support requirements
* Perform installation and configuration of OpenWay software at client sites
* Provide on-site training to clients
* Perform trouble shooting and bug fixing
* Be part of the project team responsible for all project management and technical matters pertaining to the project
* Be resourceful and able to apply alternatives in addressing project and support issues
Requirements
* Possess at least a Diploma or higher qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
* At least 3 years working experience in a similar role
* Database development skills in Oracle 9i/10g, PL/SQL are a must
* Database administration skills in Oracle 9i/10g
* Development skills in Java for WEB environment
* Development skills in C (ANSI C) would be an advantage
* Administrative skills on a Unix, SUN or Linux platform
* Project experience in installing, configuring, testing and training clients
* Outstanding general knowledge of technology
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving
* Experience in the credit card/banking industry would be an advantage
* Ability to learn new technologies quickly and correctly
* Able to troubleshoot and identify technical issues quickly
* Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken
* Strong in Oracle with Java
